A casino or a holding or intermediary company of a casino cannot employ a person in a position that requires a Casino Key Employee License unless the person holds a Casino Key Employee License or a Temporary Casino Key Employee License. To request a temporary license, a casino must file a petition with the Commission certifying that a vacancy exists or will exist within 60 days, the issuance of a temporary key employee license is necessary to fill the vacancy on an emergency basis to continue the efficient operation of the casino, and that the circumstances are extraordinary and not designed to circumvent normal licensing procedures. The Commission may issue a temporary license provided a complete application for a Casino Key Employee License is filed and the Division of Gaming Enforcement concurs. A temporary license is valid for nine (9) months unless otherwise terminated, and is valid only for the position requested in the petition and at the casino(s) specified on the license credential. A casino key employee may perform compatible functions for two or more affiliated casinos provided the Division of Gaming Enforcement does not object and the Commission grants a multi-casino employee (MCE) endorsement. If a temporary casino key employee license with an MCE endorsement is sought, the affiliated casinos may submit an electronic petition form. An MCE endorsement is valid only for the position requested in the petition and at the casinos specified on the license credential. No later than five years after obtaining a Casino Key Employee License, and every five years thereafter, the licensee shall submit information and documentation to the Commission to demonstrate to the satisfaction of the Commission that the licensee continues to meet the qualification requirements. There is a NJ sports betting trend, and there are no signs of it slowing down.
The trend we are referencing is the amount of money being wagered on a monthly basis, with the latest all-time high being October’s $803 million. More than 92% of those wagers were made via mobile apps.
Besides being a New Jersey record, it’s the biggest monthly handle ever reported by any legal US sports betting jurisdiction, Nevada included.
The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement released October numbers earlier today.
NJ sports betting revenue came in at $58.5 million, good enough for a 26.1% year-over-year increase.
Here’s a closer look at a few of the other highlights.NJ sports betting isn’t slowing down
For the year, New Jersey has taken in more than $4 billion in bets, and the last three months have a lot to do with it.
Just look at the numbers.

So out of the $4 billion, more than 50% of the wagers have been placed over the last three months.
Clearly, the shift in the pro sports calendar as a result of the COVID-19 stoppage is having a lasting impact. Remember, all four major pro sports were sidelined during the months of April, May and June.
They slowly started returning in July, but things really didn’t get rolling again until August.
Now, with NFL betting season in midseason form, the industry is showing no signs of slowing down.FanDuel + Meadowlands still dominating
Once again, there were no surprises regarding the market leader. The Meadowlands Racetrack crushed the field with $29.8 million in revenue.

Looking at the October numbers as a whole, it’s hard to ignore the $93.4 million in NJ online casino revenue.
This is the first time ever that number has crossed the $90 million mark. Fittingly, it comes as the industry is about to celebrate the seventh anniversary of its launch.
Here is why this number is significant. The majority of operators have sports betting and casino platforms integrated in the same app. This means the cross-selling model continues to pay dividends.
Resorts Digital is a perfect example, reporting $21.6 million in internet gaming revenue. Combine it with the sports betting revenue, and the grand total comes out to $36.2 million.
Bally’s Atlantic City, as a land-based operation, only earned $11.5 million in total gaming revenue.Looking ahead to November revenue
Like previous months in 2020, November’s NJ sports betting revenue will include a couple of interesting twists.
For one, the NBA and NHL regular-season starts are delayed as a result of the much later finishes to their respective seasons.
Right now, the majority of the spotlight belongs to NFL and college football betting.

The entire motif of South of the Border can be described as intentionally campy. South of the Border is located at the intersection of I-95 and US 301/US 501 just south of the border between South Carolina and North Carolina. The site is a 350-acre (140 ha) compound that contains a miniature golf course, truck stop, 300-room motel, multiple souvenir shops, a campground, multiple restaurants, amusement rides, and a 200-foot (61 m) observation tower with a sombrero shaped observation deck.[1] It is also home to ’Reptile Lagoon’, the largest indoor reptile exhibit in the US.[2]
Architectural features include ’a Jetsons-esque starburst chandelier’[3] in the lobby and Mimetic. Pedro’s Pleasure Dome is a swimming pool inside ’a junkyard version’ of a geodesic dome. A Washington Post review says, ’[F]lashing signs .. throw technicolor pink and green and blue onto every surface. No destination or sentiment is too small to be blared out in bright orange.’[3] Numerous large statues of animals such as dolphins, horses, dogs, gorillas and dinosaurs can be found. The Peddler Steakhouse, the nicest of the restaurants, is shaped like a sombrero, while the Mexican-themed Sombrero restaurant is not, though its décor includes sombreros, cactus and terra cotta, with lots of lime green. There are areas that bring to mind the photography of William Eggleston, the cinematography of David Lynch, and the gas station art of Ed Ruscha.[3]History[edit]
South of the Border was developed by Alan Schafer in 1950.[4] He had founded South of the Border Depot, a beer stand, at the location in 1949 adjacent to Robeson County which was, at one time, one of many dryNorth Carolina counties.[5][1][3] Business was steadily expanded with Mexican trinkets and numerous kitsch items imported from Mexico.[4] The site itself also began to expand to include a cocktail lounge, gas station and souvenir shop and, in 1954, a motel.[6][7] In 1962, South of the Border expanded into fireworks sales, potentially capitalizing on the fact fireworks were illegal in North Carolina.[8] In 1964 it was announced that the route for I-95 would pass right by South of the Border, and the facility would be next to two exits and within view of the highway.[9] By the mid-1960s, South of the Border had expanded to include a barber shop, drug store, a variety store, a post office an outdoor go-kart track complete with other outdoor recreational facilities and the 104 feet (32 m) tall image of the mascot, Pedro.[8]
Over the years, the billboards with messages some considered racist and offensive changed to become tamer while still retaining the same tongue-in-cheek tone. Schafer continued to deny his attraction was racist, citing the fact that he was known for hiring African Americans, and even helping them to vote, and standing up to the Ku Klux Klan.[10]
About 300 people, mostly local employees, work at South of the Border. At one time, with 700 working there, it was the largest employer in Dillon County, South Carolina.[10]Mascot[edit]
Initially, Schafer only employed sombreros and serapes to advertise South of the Border.[11] Schafer went to Mexico because of his import business and came back with two men he hired as bellboys, who people began calling Pedro and Pancho. From there, the Pedro mascot developed.[3] Schafer eventually created Pedro, to add to the exotic element and theme of the attraction. Pedro is an exaggerated, cartoon-like representation of a Mexican bandit.[12] Pedro wears a sombrero, a poncho and a large mustache.[4][12][13]Minstrel shows were still popular in Dillon County in the 1940s and 1950s, at about the time Pedro was created and P. Nicole King argues Pedro embodies the way in which people exoticized Mexico or Mexicans at the time while also remaining intentionally campy.[14] Pedro has likewise been referred to as culturally offensive, politically incorrect or racist.[4][13][12][15] P. Nicole King described Pedro’s image as a ’southern Jewish guy in brown face’ that was perhaps made, partially, in Schafer’s image.[4][16] Schafer himself had previously dismissed criticism that Pedro is an unfair characterization of Mexicans arguing it’s a light-hearted joke.[17] Today, all South of the Border employees, regardless of race, creed or color, are referred to as Pedro.[4][18]Pop culture[edit]

He stops at a fireworks market called Fort Pedro, which leads him into the story of the most memorable Fourth of July during his childhood in the fictional town of Hohman, Indiana.
The opening scene of Season 3, Episode 5 of Eastbound & Down shows characters Eduardo Sanchez Powers and Casper robbing a Mexican store leading the viewers to believe they were still in Mexico. Four years ago, Finance Minister Michael Noonan proposed a 1% tax on online gambling but the subsequent Betting Amendment Bill was significantly held up in Europe.
The problems centred on how to tax bets placed by people in Ireland using bookies based overseas and other issues relating to prosecution and enforcement.
Among the problems, the European Commission had concerns that the bill would affect the freedom of people in the Republic to place a bet with operators outside the jurisdiction.

Speaking in the Dáil last week in response to a question from Fianna Fáil’s Michael McGrath, Noonan says the bill will enter committee stage in the Seanad this week.

The first category of person who must apply for a certificate of personal fitness is he or she who exercises control (within the meaning of section 11 or 432 of the Taxes Consolidation Act 1997) in relation to the corporate body. In addition to such persons, corporate bodies may choose that an individual in either the second or third category of person as defined in section 1 applies for a certificate of personal fitness. The legislation does not require all three categories of person to be deemed a ’relevant officer’.

In an attempt to take some of the stress away, Martin Lewis’ MoneySavingExpert.com has compiled a list of top tips.
The list shows how far ahead each supermarket releases its slots and how you might get your hands on one, reports BirminghamLive.
The supermarket with the longest lead time appears to be Tesco with a massive 21 days, which assumes you know what you’ll want to eat three weeks in advance.
Waitrose and Morrisons release their slots just three days ahead.
So you might know what you want to eat but will you then have enough time to get your order in before all of the slots are quickly taken?

It said there wasn’t a fixed time when they were released, but priority customers were emailed about availability.

Asda - revealed that slots update as and when they become available in each area. Popular times to get a slot were typically 10pm or midnight, though some followers said between 2am and 4am.21 days ahead
